KNOW YOUR ATTACHMENT

Are You Secure?
Are You Secure?

Knowing your attachment may save you a lot of heartache.

John Bowlby’s Attachment Theory has long served as a cornerstone in understanding human relationships and emotional development. The theory explains how early interactions with caregivers shapes our ability to form secure, healthy bonds throughout life.

A secure attachment develops when a caregiver consistently meets a child’s needs, fostering trust and emotional regulation. In adulthood, secure individuals display high self esteem, healthy self confidence and ability to have healthy meaningful relationships. They are less aggressive and less angry. Mostly the mother is the caregiver and her nurturing, love and caring abilities influences the child’s development if secure attachment style, whilst the opposite may create insecure attachment types.
